In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in the United States revealed interesting trends in downloads and active users. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps showed varied patterns but maintained significant user engagement.

Uber - Request a ride consistently led the market with download numbers ranging from approximately 224K to 262K weekly. Active users remained strong, starting the quarter at about 7.6M and peaking at 7.9M in mid-September, showing a stable user base throughout the period.

Lyft saw a steady download trend, with figures hovering between 157K and 179K. The app's weekly active users increased from 3.2M in early July to over 3.4M by the end of September, indicating a growing engagement level.

The Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver app experienced a gradual decline in downloads, starting at around 90K and ending the quarter with approximately 80K. Active users fluctuated, beginning at 1.9M and decreasing to 1.5M by the end of September.
